The film was shot on HDV in September and October of 2009. Post-production began in November. The film was completed on Jan. 25, 2010.
“The Devil at Lost Creek” draws inspiration from 1970s low-budget Bigfoot movies such as “The Legend of Boggy Creek” and “Creature from Black Lake.” The film respects its antecedents, but resists wallowing in retro nostalgia. “Lost Creek” uses the Bigfoot horror subgenre as a milieu for assertive, contemporary storytelling.
Fun, dramatic and scary, “The Devil at Lost Creek” is the second short horror film from Raymond Castile, director of “The Blind Date of Coffin Joe” and actor in “The Embodiment of Evil.”
“The Devil at Lost Creek” will be submitted to film festivals throughout 2010. Watch this site to find out when it will screen at a festival near you.
